The draw date for this raffle is October 2.

Raffle tickets are available to residents of Alberta only and you must be 18 years of age or older.

According to press (http://www.edsonleader.com/story.php?id=250777), 7,500 sheep tickets will be sold. Another press piece is at http://www.calgarycountry.com/story.php?id=250213.

The Minister’s Special Bighorn Licence is valid anywhere in Alberta during regular bighorn sheep seasons including special draw seasons. The licence is also valid from November 1- December 15, 2006 in WMUs 302, 303, 306, 308, 326, 328, 400-406, 412-437, 439-446, December 1-15, 2006 in WMUs 408 and 438 and from November 1-30, 2006 in that portion of WMU 408 that is east of Highway 40.

Tickets are $10 each and available by submitting the appropriate form or contacting the Alberta Fish and Game Association head office at 780-437-2342. Mastercard and Visa are accepted or you can also mail your cheque to:

Well that sucks that it it residents only.

But I beleive states should have the right to limit the amount of % of non residents be able to draw a tag in the US.

I agree that residents only seems not right. I live in Alberta so I know the reasoning. This is basically the equivalent of the tag that is auctioned at FNAWS for the Cadomin out of season hunt. The resident only lottery is to give an equivalent opportunity to an Albertan that cannot afford the auctioned price. Right or wrong I don't know but both hunters will get a fantastic ram.
