John, Seems like most folks on this message board are pretty humble about their hunting accomplishments. I find that refreshing. But, like you, I'd like to hear of successes as well. With respect to Rocky Mountain Bighorn success, there is a lot of it over on the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society website's board ( http://www.bighornsheep.org/). You have to register to get on that board, but that's a pretty simply process. You can get directly to the forums from this link: http://bighornsheep.infopop.cc/eve/forumsI was very fortunate this year with respect to Rocky Mountain Bighorn. I drew a tag in a newly reopened unit in my home state of Colorado. We filled that tag opening morning. The photos will be in the Winter edition of the Grand Slam magazine from what I understand.

I also have a Yukon hunt for Fannin which was as good as it gets. Spotted rams on the next mountain range, long steep climb, crept over the top to view 10 rams, looked at them in the spotting scope for over an hour, moved into the best position, waited for the perfect broadside shot at 328 yards, got back to camp at 3:00 am. It was ideal temperature with no bugs, a gorgeous ram but best of all a fantastic hunt.

I was fortunate enough to take a California Bighorn out of the bottom of the Owyhee Canyon in Idaho while hunting with Jon Barker last week. Awesome, rugged country. Can't say enough good things about Jon. This was my first sheep hunt...I might be hooked.
