GF&P looks at proposals

PIERRE - Besides proposals regarding pheasants and dog training, a number of others were introduced during the state's Game, Fish & Parks Commission meeting Thursday at the Pierre Chamber of Commerce.

BIGHORN SHEEP

Licenses for the Black Hills bighorn sheep hunting season would increase from three to four. The season would be from Oct. 6 to Oct. 31 in 2007.


NOTE(s):
1) Application deadline is May 25th this year.
2) South Dakota is a "resident's only" state for sheep hunting. It's also once-in-a-lifetime.
3) 2007 information and applications will be available in late April.
