Any word on if there is a price increase for 2007?

What is the max number of points one could have in Montana?

Off the top of my head, I believe the max - entering this year's drawing - is 6 points.

Why is this number so low? Did they start the point system recently or do they give a large number of tags? I am just curious. I applied last year and did not draw. I wanted to know how far behind the leaders I was. With the max points being six that gives me a little hope.

The point system began in 2001 thus six is max points for bighorn sheep.

Something to keep in mind...Montana has a bonus point system, so it's possible to draw your first year without any points and people with max. points might not draw unlike preference points which will move you a head of all of the other applicants with less points then you and thus only the max point holders have a shot at drawing.
