I posted about this under "General Talk" but thought I'd put it here under "Desert Bighorn Sheep" as well, since that's what it's actually about...

Desert Bighorn Sheep - Units in Northwestern Arizona as per Order 29 Tag # BS01

The raffle drawings will take place July 8, 2006.

The ticket order form itself is at: http://www.arizonabiggamesuperraffle.com/ticket_order_form_web.pdf

Okay I'm in for the raffle, now, do I still have to apply for the draw like I did for the Utah tag? Thanks Joe

Ramdreamer-I appreciate all the help you are giving, I'm not too computer savvy and you are really helping me out! Thanks Joe

Lookingfor#1,

You don't have to apply in the Arizona draw if you don't want to (that would make one less competitor in the draw for the rest of us Big Grin). But if you want a shot at a desert tag in Arizona, it would be wise to apply there. The applications for Arizona are usually due in mid-June. Of course I'll post whatever I find out about it as soon as I do. Their regulations booklets usually don't hit the website until May and even later are they available in print.

Another raffle opportunity will come about from the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society with a draw date of that raffle in September. Again, I'll post it when I know the specifics.

I spoke with ADBSS folks staffing the booth at the FNAWS/MDF convention in Reno today. They stated that there will NOT be a September draw as usual and that they simply flipped their usual desert tag to the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle. So there is only one desert raffle tag in Arizona this year.

The winner of the Desert Bighorn Sheep tag was Gerald Carter of Caldwell, Texas.

For the Desert Bighorn Sheep tag, a total of 5,864 raffle tickets were sold. This generated $146,600. The only tag with more interest was the one for elk. You can see all of the results at: http://www.arizonabiggamesuperraffle.com/2006_Results/2006_results.html
