The below permit will be auctioned on Saturday evening April 30th, 2011 in Sacramento, California. This will be done during the live auction of the California Chapter - Wild Sheep Foundation (CA WSF) fundraising banquet.
California 2011-2012 TWO-ZONE DESERT BIGHORN SHEEP PERMIT
The California Department of Fish and Game has selected the CA WSF to auction this two-zone Desert Bighorn Sheep permit for the 2011-2012 season. The permit will provide the winning bidder the opportunity to hunt Zone 1 Marble/Clipper Mountains and the new proposed Zone 8 South Bristol Mountains (Zone 8 subject to approval by the CA DFG). The purchaser of this permit will be allowed to hunt from the first Saturday in November to the first Sunday in February. This permit is subject to all existing conditions required for the take of bighorn sheep in California, including the requisite hunter orientation program identified in Section 362, Title 14, California Code of Regulations, and remains subject to final approval by the California Fish and Game Commission. The permit is non-transferable and may be used only by the successful bidder or purchaser designated at the time of purchase.
100% of the winning bid amount goes to the California Department of Fish and Game dedicated wild sheep account.
Note: A 5% buyers premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit
sold, Proceeds will be dedicated to CA WSF conservation initiatives.
