The Texas Bighorn Society's 18th Annual (2006) "Roundup" finished up last night. Topping the list of things to be auctioned was the second TBS Texas Desert Bighorn Permit. This hunt will be for the next available permit on one of the State Wildlife Management Areas, home to the last two state record rams, and some of the largest desert bighorns taken anywhere in recent times!

The high bid set a new record for a Texas Desert Bighorn permit: $105,000.
