Just got an e-mail from the Nevada DOW. No luck in the draws. Last hope Arizona coming up.

A very close friend of mine drew a desert permit in unit 183 as a non-resident. This unit is the Clan Alpine range east of Fallon. From the checkout stats, it looks like a 150-ish ram is a real possibility. Someone took a 171 last year.

If I have any time at all I'll be going along with him. If anyone knows the unit I would love to hear your thoughts.

I drew nothing.

Fixedpower, a 150ish ram in 183 shouldn't be too difficult if the guy spends a little time. Is he going guided or on his own? Drop me an email if you get a chance to go.

So, Fixedpower, did you get to go with your friend? If so you should be hunting right now. I heard a 166 ram was shot in that area by a young kid yesterday.

Let us know how your friend does.
