Did the Kyrgyz wildlife officials submit the population surveys required by US Fish & Wildlife Service?

I ask because importation permits were not issued last season due to Kyrgyzstan officials failing to get this done. Or maybe you're only looking for non-U.S. clients?

Unfortunately right now there are no import permits being issued by the US F&WS. I jumped the gun a little after speaking with my outfitter in Kyrgyzstan. He advised that all the surveys had been submitted by the Kyrgyz government to the F&WS and that they should start issuing permits for this year and 08. However I spoke with John Carpenter from the US F&WS international affairs and he advised me that The Kyrgyz did submit the information but it was incomplete. The US F&WS have requested more information including better surveys of the Argali population. He said that if the information is provided that they may issue a very few permits for this year. If all goes well they will issue permits for next year but again it is dependent on the Kyrgyz providing the additional data.
So for now I guess it is for non-US hunters. I can probably work a smaller deposit for future hunts with the outfitter to hold openings but it is still risky. I do have hunts in other countries but the prices are higher. If any one wants more information just give me a call.
