I rarely watch the news shows, but I am watching Dateline and the hurricane damage. I hope all the folks involved with the Beau Ridge complex were able to get out. I cannot believe the damage they have shown in Biloxi. God help the people down there.

I've been watching the news as well. My thoughts and prayers are with those from down south.

I'm confident that the folks in the GSCO office will let us all know something when they have solid info. Probably a pretty good bet that the folks at the Beau Rivage hotel/casino have their hands full right now.

I do know that at least one of the guys, Taylor, in the GSCO office was without power for three days. Shows you how far north that hurricane has created havoc.

I was supposed to be in Tuscaloosa, Al last Tu-Thur. Glad I stayed home. I actually saw the Beau Rivage on one of the shows. It did not look too bad compared to the world around it. Unfortunately, the news from down there keeps getting worse. Do not mess with mother nature.

A local friend works or worked at the Beau Rivage and it's quite a mess. Estimated cost of rapairs is in the 200 million dollar range. They have reported that they will be shutdown for a minimum of 9 to 12 months and will attempt to relocate the effected employees, if possible. Also, all employees shall receive full pay for 90 days.

So, doesn't appear that the GSCO convention will be held there in February. The interstate and area bridges leading into the hotel casino complex's are in shambles and may take longer to repair.

What you have seen on the national news, is actually much worse when it's at your back door, if you still have one.
