I recently hunted on the Ghost Ranch. The manager informed me that their Aoudad qualifies for OVIS. Can anyone verify this?

From this site:
North Africa is the home range of the aoudad sheep. However, this magnificent and highly adaptable animal is thriving in populations around the world. The Ovis World Slam recognizes the aoudad wherever found, and further encourages the hunting of this highly desirable trophy species. The aoudad ram does not carry the name Ovis as part of its scientific name, because it is an intermediate species between a sheep and a goat. Again, however, this species is a most worthy trophy animal. Therefore, I think it qualifies. Others would know for sure |
