Congratulations to all those who drew a 2008 sheep tag! This year’s sheep hunter’s clinic will be held Saturday, September 27 at: Mountain Preserve Reception Center 1431 E. Dunlap Phoenix, Arizona There is no charge for the clinic. It will begin at 8:00 am and last until approximately Noon. Registration starts at 7:30 am. Coffee and pastries will be available. The clinic is specifically designed for those who have drawn a sheep permit for 2008, but please feel free to bring along any friends who will be helping you on the hunt. Some of the topics we’ll cover include sheep hunting techniques, how to identify a trophy ram, equipment and optics, photographing the hunt, and field care of your ram. In addition to the presentations, representatives from all of the Arizona Game and Fish Department regions, the KOFA and Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuges, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and the Bureau of Land Management will be at the clinic to give you some specific information on the unit for which you have drawn a permit. Please call the administrative office at (480) 854-8950 to make reservations. Please leave your name, the number of people in your party who will be attending the clinic, and a daytime phone number. |
