New Mexico Game and Fish Department's online application is now available at: https://dgfremote.gmfsh.state.nm.us/application/

You may apply for their 2007-2008 special hunts online there using a credit card.

If you've not applied in New Mexico before, this "Applying for Big Game Hunts in New Mexico" document might be of some assistance: http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/recreation/hunting/documents/HowtoApply07.pdf

New Mexico moved their "Online License Sales", and their special hunts applications, to: https://dgfremote.gmfsh.state.nm.us/ols/

If you've not used it previously, you'll have to create an account in this new system in order to proceed with an application or other online purchase. It's automated and will walk you through that account creation process.

Ramdreamer and others,

You might want to check with NMG&F or Eric R. on this but....it looks like auction buyer who has first choice on if he wants to hunt desert bighorn sheep of rocky mountain bighorn has chosen rockies. So this NMFNAWS sheep raffle will be for a desert sheep license. I'll be buying a few more tickets than normal.

The auction buyer is 99% sure he'll go for a Rocky. I just had that discussion, via e-mail, with him on Monday this week. He does have until June 1st to officially notify NMG&F of his choice.

Raffle tag update...

New Mexico Game and Fish has updated their information and confirmed that the auction tag holder has chosen to hunt a Rocky in the Wheeler Peak unit. That means that you could choose to hunt a Desert bighorn ram this year on the raffle tag.

Updated information is at: http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/recreation/hunting/docu...ancement_license.htm

The 2007 draw results have been posted.

The New Mexico Game & Fish Department's website is, again, not handling the crush of on-line traffic very well and it's difficult to even get on their site. If you can get to it, it is at: http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/

The direct path to the "Find Hunter Results" search page is: https://dgfremote.gmfsh.state.nm.us/ols/search
(Note that you'll need to enter your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Last Four Digits of your Social Security Number OR your Application Number, in order to get your results.)

I finally got in and was able to search after 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time tonight.
