Here's a look at what's on the table and how you can have your say in the matter...
From: http://www.azgfd.gov/temp/fee_increase.shtml Public input sought on proposed license and tag fee increases The Arizona Game and Fish Commission and Arizona Game and Fish Department are seeking an increase in the fees charged for fishing and hunting licenses, stamps and hunt permit-tags. In the last legislative session, the Arizona Legislature passed a bill raising the fee ceilings under which the Arizona Game and Fish Commission is authorized to establish license, tag, stamp and permit prices. This was the first time the ceiling had been raised since 1998, and the previous increase only covered maintenance of existing programs. The commission is now seeking price increases within the new ceilings to provide the department with needed revenue to meet increasing operating expenses, and to address program priorities. The department is seeking public input on the proposal. Comment can be submitted by sending an e-mail to rulemaking@azgfd.gov, or by attending any of a series of public meetings across the state in November. After receiving public input, the Game and Fish Department will present a formal proposal to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission at the commission’s public meeting in Casa Grande, Dec. 9-10, at the Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort, 26000 W. Gila Bend Highway, Casa Grande. Public meeting schedule The meetings will be held on the following dates: Wednesday, Nov. 9, 6 p.m., Arizona Game and Fish Department's headquarters, Roadrunner Room, 2222 W. Greenway Road, Phoenix.
