The Kamloops Indian Band located in Central British Columbia is in the works of putting together a plan to offer trophy california bighorn hunts on the reservation. The herd located on the reserve has a population of 350 -450 animals and contain rams that score in the 165-180 class. This herd has supplied sheep for transplants in the USA, in states such as Oregon, Idaho and Washington. The herd has never been hunted and the opportunity to harvest a tremendous trophy is their. This sheep hunt would be like the quality of elk hunting offered on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. I will keep everyone posted on the progress of this sheep hunting opportunity.
