Looking to hunt a Stone Sheep before I can't climb mountains any more, but I can't afford the price tag -- was wondering if there is a list or suggestions on monitoring the raffles for Stones? The ones I have seen for '06 are GrandSlamClub and Arizonal Desert Sheep Society. Are there others that I should look at or avoid? Any info would be appreciated.

There are only two others currently on my radar screen. They are part the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep (FNAWS) & Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) hunt raffles (ExtRAMaganza V) with winners being drawn at their combined Reno, Nevada convention on Saturday, February 4th.

They are:

Hunt #3: Stone Sheep Hunt.
July 31 – August, 2006. Leif Olsen, Stone Mountain Safaris (http://www.stonemountainsafaris.com). The winner must donate $10,000.00 to FNAWS.

Hunt #4: Dall or Fannin Hunt.
August 12 – 23, 2006. Alan & Mary Ellen Young, Midnight Sun Outfitting (http://www.midnightsunoutfitting.com). The winner must donate $3,500.00 to FNAWS.

The particulars are:
• Need NOT be present to win.
• Unlimited tickets can be purchased.
• Hunts are transferable.

Ticket Prices:
2 = $100.
6 = $200.
20 = $500.
50 = $1,000.
