First I am new to the forum so an Intro. is in order.

Philip Morris from Alabama
I have 10 yo boy and a 7 yo girl and a wonderful wife of 14 years

God, family, and then shooting longbows whether it being hunting, target or stump shooting. Trying forge knife blades also can be a fun.

I don't have a clue about what it takes to go on a sheep hunt, or an out of state hunt for that matter with the exception of money or luck of the draw. I have a facination with sheep and no idea of where it comes from. I do hope to get to hunt at least one them before I am to old climb a mountain. I feel this the beginning of what I hope to be a lifelong journey into the mountains so many of you know.

Phil

Hi Philip,
Welcome to the Grand Slam Club/Ovis site. You can find a few articles on our website that will answer some of your questions about sheep hunting. But one of the best resources you will find is talking to our members right here on this forum.
We also have a convention coming up in February at the Grand Casino Tunica. You can sit in on some great seminars, including a bowhunters round table discussion (Saturday, February 11) with some of the best in the world. Also, mastersmith Webb Hammond will have a demonstration on flintknapping (primitive knife making) on Sunday, February 12.
For more information, visit our convention website.
