This is your chance for great odds on an Oryx hunt and the RMBS also pays for the tag!

Feel free to pass this info on to all your friends as the money raised goes to help a good cause, the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society (and thus the wild sheep of Colorado!).

Order forms available at: www.bighornsheep.org/Oryx/1.htm

Or simply send your self addressed & stamped envelope, $25 per ticket that you want, your name, full address and phone number to:
RMBS NMORYX
P.O. Box 8320
Denver, CO 80201-8320

The rest of the story (AKA the fine print):

The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society has acquired the opportunity to hunt Oryx on the famous Armendaris Ranch, near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. This great opportunity will be awarded for 1 hunter and 1 non-hunter.

The Oryx are a free ranging herd living on the 354,000 acres of private property of this ranch. Most of the ranch is relatively flat at an elev. of 4,900' in a Chihuahuan desert grassland. The exception is the Fra Cristobal Mountain range, which is located on the west side of the ranch and is the home for the State's largest desert bighorn sheep population. Other species on the ranch are antelope, desert mule deer, cougars, and oryx. Average horn length of oryx is between 32 & 38 inches weighing roughly 450 lbs.

As scheduled the winner of the raffle was drawn at 9:00 p.m. Mountain time last night. The winner was home when called and told of his good fortune. The winner is Scott Gordon. He's from Sequim, Washington.

Thanks to all of you that purchased tickets! It really helped out and ensured that the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society did not lose money on the endeavor.
